We'd updated our todo-installation today (step by step with update-manual). Update process was running well. No errors. Login is also possible. But there're a lot of failures now. We'd tried to delete the cache one more time. But the faults are still there:

Top-Menue: We've to buttons for administration. One leads to the admin-menue, the other one to an error. In german they're signed: "System-Verwaltung" and "Administration". After cleaning the cache a second time no the menue is visible but don't work.

When clicking on a task (right mouse button / edit task) there's the failure:
Fatal error: Call to a member function addField() on a non-object in /var/www/web94/html/intern/todoyu/ext/projectaddon/model/MbientProjectAddonManager.class.php on line 114

By right clicking "edit date" in calendar there is a failure-message on the top of the site:
PHP ERROR: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() # core/model/TodoyuArray.class.php : 186

Because of the non-function of the admin-icon in top-menue we'd tried to call the module by index.php?ext=admin. The following error-message from PHP-parser:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method TodoyuExtensions::loadAllAdmin() in /var/www/web94/html/intern/todoyu/ext/admin/controller/TodoyuAdminExtActionController.class.php on line 53

We'd also cleaned our browser cache of the last hours (Firefox, newest version). Same failures. At last we tested in InternetExplorer. Same errors.

What could we do to repair the installation? The "all-in-one"-solution (delete the cache) doesn't work this time. Because of we can't go to the admin-panel we've no option to deactivate the moduls (maybee a modul hooked on a point which isn't still there)? Only the devInfo is working in top-menue - but don't show much.

PS: todoyu is a very cool tool. We like it (put a donate-function in . But the updates are critical each time. Maybee it would be a better way to have an export/import-Tool. So it would be possible to export the data from old version an import them into a new installation/version. Maybee caching and Co would'nt be such critical.

That made things a lot clearer.

I was able to go back to my hosting company and have them set up a direct login to the database and create a DB that could be used. I'm surprised more people haven't run into this issue as the typical hosting setup is much like the one I was installing to.

Hi Michael

Your guess is right, the database selection is on the next screen (you can choose an existing database or create a new one).

In the first screen, you only have to test your connection to the database server. todoyu doesn't access any database yet. So I guess there are missing privileges for your user.
There can be several reasons for this problem... http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/access-denied.html

The next step in the installer lists all existing databases. Can you allow your mysql user to do that?

Is there any other error information which could give a hint for this problem? Any full error message, mysql or php log message would be helpful.

I'm getting a "Access denied for user..." error when installing.

Here's the thing I don't understand: normally, at least with the hundreds of other software installs I've done on web servers, you use the name of the database to gain access to it. Todoyu asks for Server, User Name, and a password but not the database name. How is Todoyu supposed to even log in if the database hasn't been identified yet (it looks like it's in the next step)?

I have a clean database set up but how am I supposed to access it if installer isn't asking for it?

Totally confused.

Just as info. IE7 is not supported by todoyu. We support IE from version 8, but suggest version 9.

I'm having problems with IE7 only on the login screen, I don´t have problems using Chrome or FireFox.

Thanks for to additional bug reports. They are now fixed in the trunk and will be contained in the next release (probably monday or tuesday)

I checked the bugtracker with a new created user. Creating a new ticket worked fine. Please try again if you find another bug and report back if it still doesn't work for you

There the change logs are. Fantastic! I was looking at the root directory and didn't look any further, haha!

About thre renaming: That is okay. For developer updating might be a little bit frustrating, but in the end a good and clean source code is a good chargeback.

About the bugtracker: I don't want to test it exactly, I could create a non sense bug. I was logged in, created a bug (core, no version choosed) and submitted. Instead of submitting, the bugracker told me, I do not have the rights. I already submitted a bug, I don't know what exactly gone wrong.

About arrays: Ah you are right. I am also not able to reproduce the behaviour, so it might be just my failure. It's more like a philosophy. I am trying to keep array handling (if needed so) always as strict as possible and like at other programming languages. So I handle arrays and objects the same

About the ChangeLogs:
The changelogs with the most impotant features are available in the ChangeLog files inside of every extension and also the core. After we released the final, they will also be published on this website.

Ex:
- core/ChangeLog
- ext/project/ChangeLog

About the "bug":
Something like this is no problem in php
$var['sub']['key'] = 'value';

Not even $var has to be defined before. So i don't think that this part is causing any problem. If this causes a problem, you should send me your server specs so I can check this problem.

About the missing hooks:
We unified the naming of some hooks. So you may need to update the name of your registered hooks. Sorry, but we had to cleanup...

You can post the hooks you used here, then a may support you with your renames.

We try to support every extension developer out there, so don't hesitate to ask questions! We will support you as much as we can.

About the bugtracker
Of course we don't bann anyone =) Your account is active and every logged in user can create new tickets. No failed logins are reported for your account. Are you able to login?

I was trying to create a CRITICAL bug for todoyu CORE version 1.2.2 RC2 but I got the message I don't have the privileges to open a new ticket. May I be banned?

I was trying out the new todoyu 2.2 Release Candidate 2 and I was wondering why some hooks did not appear. So I checked the method TodoyuHookManager::registerHook and which does nothing more than

But at this moment it is not guaranteed that self::$hooks[$extKey] or even self::$hooks[$extKey][$name] is not null. So you are trying to add an array element to null which is not correct. Please extend the method with following lines before adding the hook with the code above

It's not possible yet. But the feature request on uservoice is rising to one of the top requests, so it may be a possible feature for one of the next versions. But gantt and mobile version will be implemented first.

Already voted on uservoice? => http://todoyu.uservoice.com

As kay already said, todoyus goal is to reduce the usage of email, so it wont be a top priority of todoyou the send out more emails.

Hi! I'm Henrique, I'm new at the forum. How are you, guys? I have the same need that Sarah. And also I'll would really enjoy (I dont' know if it already exists) some extension or something that turns possible when somebody insert new task (besides that automaticaly send an e-mail) , automaticaly this task was inserted into planner table (planner table - I mean Calendar).

Daytracks is the panelwidget which shows your trackings of the current day. It's visible in the portal and project tab in the left panel

We'd installed the daytrack-extension in our todoyu (2.1.4). In extension-list daytrack is visible and all seems to be ok. But where can we find the output of the extension?

The report-extension for example has add himselve to topmenu. But we don't find the daytrack.

Problem will be solved in todoyu 2.2 which will be released in the next weeks.

Quick solution. Delete this file:
lib/js/jscalendar/lang/calendar-pl-utf8.js

Clear the cache after this. Then it should work again

ich greife dieses Thema der Sichtbarkeit von "zugewiesen an" nochmal auf.
Im MOment ist es ja so, dass alle nicht internen Mitarbeiter nicht sehen, wem die Aufgabe zugewiesen ist, oder?

Lässt sich dies umstellen? Ideal wäre dies, da man dann als nicht interner Projektleiter (also auf Kundenseite) auch sieht, wer gerade an welcher aufgabe arbeitet.

Mir ist das ganze aus folgendem Grund aufgefallen.
wir haben auf Kundenseite 2 Personen, mit den wir in einem todoyu Projekt arbeiten. Person A würde gerne über einen Filter sehen, welche Aufgaben an Person A gehen. Bei der Filterauswahl ist die Auswahl zugewiesen an aber nicht sichtbar. bei meinem Zugang allerdings schon, da ich ja intern bin.

hast Du da ne Idee? ich hoffe das war einigermaßen verständlich. und eigentlich sind es 2 Probleme, die aber denke ich den gleichen Grund haben. Wenn ich ein neues Topic aufmachen soll, sag bitte kurz Bescheid.

Currently we're working for the release 2.2 of todoyu. But support for mobile devices is not included yet.
We already started to plan some basics for mobile devices, but there is no fixed roadmap yet for this.

You can always sponsor such a feature...

Task based workflow query

Hi all.

Ok, so I'm new to this and busy doing a trial of Todoyu for our company.

A brief outline of what we do:

We are a task-based outsourcing company, and we essentially handle basic process work for our clients which is billed and handled in a task based form.
Our employees will be given tasks to do, and our clients will be billed according to the tasks performed. Simple enough.

Todoyu looks like it should very easily handle the Scheduling and Timesheet requirements we have.

My question is the based on the following scenario:

We have certain tasks that run on a weekly basis with a specific due time. I.E. Wednesday at 09:00. Thursday at 12:00

My question is how would I set up recurring set tasks. Once this is done it would make life much easier WRT assigning the tasks to agents to be completed.

I have seen this functionality on other scheduling systems, however I am not entirely sure how to set this up in Todoyu.

I realise this may be a very silly question, however if anyone can give me some insight into how to handle this it'd be most appreciated.

Hi Vincent

The calendar is also limited to "internal" users. This means only employees of the company which is marked as internal (which should be your company) in contacts can access to calendar.

All other users (customers, etc) don't have access to it. There are also some other features which check for internal status, so you should connect all your employees to your company.

Please check in contacts:
- Is your company marked as internal?
- Are the users assigned to this company?

I solved the problem, the rights for Role what not completed. Project and Task is visible.
